Participate in the First Fridays Market on Main

  1. As a Maker or Artist (Art, Crafts, or Artisan Goods must be hand made by the Exhibiting Vendor)
  2. As an Activity Vendor (nonprofits & businesses not located in the Central Business District can join us in the Market as an Activity Vendor)

No, once you’ve applied and have been approved for First Fridays, we will just need to know the dates you will be participating.

All market vendors are required to pay a $50 space deposit, The deposit is to hold your space at the market and will be refunded at the conclusion of the First Fridays Market. (May Deposit will be refunded at the close of the May Market at 8 pm) The $50 deposit is payable by cash or check to the Alamosa Convention & Visitors Bureau (Visit Alamosa)

First Fridays Headquarters is located at 627 Main Street. If you have any questions, please check in at Headquarters. Site Coordinator- Elizabeth Sumner Cell: 719-937-1024

You must observe the 2 Hour parking limit along Main Street. First Fridays (Visit Alamosa ) is not responsible for parking tickets or traffic violations. 

First Fridays is a Rain or Shine event. That said, we encourage you to check the weather forecast and plan accordingly. Tents must be secured against wind and deposits are not refundable due to inclement weather. 

We encourage you to use a tent or canopy, makers with a tent are much more visible, making them more visited by attendees.

Your space is about 10 feet wide by 10 feet deep. Your display must be within the Market Space (not on the sidewalk) 

If you set up away from the curb or in a parking spot, you will be asked to move your set-up back. If you do not comply you are subject to a warning notice and suspension from the event.

No power is provided. Please plan to bring an alternative light source if you want one.

What time is set-up and breakdown?

You can set up as early as 3 pm. Be ready by 5 pm. You must stay set up until 8 pm.

What qualifies me to be an Artist?

Your art / goods / crafts must be handmade by you.

Do I need a business license to sell my art?

Yes, you need a City of Alamosa City Sales Tax License. Don't have that yet? You can apply here.

No need for a license to jam but if you plan to sell art or merch you will need a City of Alamosa Sales Tax License

Nonprofits & businesses not located in the Central Business District can join us in the Market as an Activity Vendor by providing an engaging Activity for our First Friday attendees. 

What qualifies as an Activity?

What qualifies as an Activity?

Activities can be used to promote your business or message but will be evaluated on their entertainment value and engagement potential. The First Fridays Market Committee reserves the final decision on proposed activities. Activity examples include but are NOT limited to: Cooking demos, paint n sips, concerts, face painting, guided walking tours, car shows, games, open mic, karaoke.

No need for a license to offer your activity, however if you plan to sell anything, you will need a City of Alamosa Sales Tax License

No fee to play. If you are performing in the Market on Main, you are welcome to set up a tip jar. If you are playing inside a restaurant or business you will need to coordinate with them directly.

How do I get my business involved in First Friday?

We encourage all businesses to host special events coordinating with the First Friday theme. Think experiences, hands-on workshops, themed products/food items, themed cocktails, live music, and art demos.
