Arts and Culture

Arts and Culture reveal another dimension of the San Luis Valley's history, development, and creative spirit. Both art and culture are depicted through the glorious display of the Stations of the Cross Shrine in San Luis. Visitors can also experience the award-winning Creede Theatre producing the best of contemporary and classic plays, as well as the Adams State College Theatre that strives to redefine the role of live theater on a college campus.

Festivals and events highlight the summer season, expressing the true spirit of the communities that embrace each celebration. Agriculture and food also define the region with the diverse cultures and flavors of generations of Valley residents.
