Every year the Capitol picks their Christmas tree from one of the National Parks in the U.S. and this year, they have chosen a tree from Colorado! It is a 73ft Engelman Spruce from the Blanco Ranger District of the White River National Forest near Meeker Colorado. The tree will be swinging through Alamosa on November 1o, and the schedule will be as follows:

1:00 P.M- Arrival & Set-up

1:30 P.M.-Boy Scout "Color Post"

1:35 P.M.- USFS Welcome Announcements

1:45 P.M.- Mayor Announcements

2:00 P.M.- AHS Choir

2:15 P.M.- Photos with Santa Claus & Mrs. Claus

2:30 P.M.- Depart
