First Fridays – Roaming Rhythms
Music is taking over downtown! Join us for September’s First Friday as we host Roaming Rhythms, a mini music festival presented in partnership with ALMA—the soul of live music in our community.
Talented local musicians will be performing live inside various downtown businesses and indoor spaces all evening long. Wander from building to building, discover incredible tunes, and soak in the vibrant atmosphere!
While you’re out, stroll through the Market on Main to shop local vendors, grab great food, and support small businesses. Come out, follow the music, and celebrate the rhythm of our town! Whether you’re a local or just passing through, come experience this amazing event!

Downtown is tuning up for an unforgettable evening! This September First Friday, we’re teaming up with ALMA—to bring you Roaming Rhythms, an interactive showcase of local talent.
As the sun sets, our neighborhood shops and venue spaces will transform into cozy acoustic spots and vibrant stages. Take a relaxed stroll through the district, pop into local spots to hear fantastic live sets, and catch the unique energy around every turn.
Don’t forget to swing by the Market on Main while you’re out to check out artisan booths, grab a bite to eat, and support our fantastic small business scene. Enjoy a mini music festival across 5 locations: Colorado Welcome Center, SLV’s Tea Spot, Milagros, Narrow Gauge, and Mammoth.

A monthly celebration of our community’s movers and shakers, creatives and performers, and local businesses.
The “First Fridays Market on Main” continues to grow as we steadily host a rotating list of entertainers, makers, and artists offering handmade items for sale. Each month is different as we bring in more and more vendors and makers to sell in the Market! Find everything from hand-crafted bags and jewelry to homemade dog treats and fun activities hosted at select booths.

First Friday happens on the first Friday from May-October.
In addition to free parking along Main Street, there are 7 free public parking lots located within the downtown area.
First Fridays are completely free to attend. Each First Fridays event will feature free entertainment, and games courtesy of Visit Alamosa. First Fridays also features Art, Shopping, and Dining deals, plan to spend according to your interests.
That’s up to each artist or business but it can’t hurt to have both just in case.
Absolutely! Some merchants even have special low-cost or free activities (like sidewalk chalk) for kiddos.
