Rio Grande Farm Park is a 38-acre community farm located in Alamosa, Colorado in the San Luis Valley. Formerly Polston Elementary School, we’ve transformed this cherished site into a vibrant hub where the convergence of education, farming, and sustainability empowers our community.

Guided by a rich history and a vibrant vision, we are passionately committed to fostering an equitable local food system that nourishes our people, economy, and ecosystem. At the core of Rio Grande Farm Park lies the synergy of Preservation and Creation, embracing the preservation of the San Luis Valley’s agricultural heritage, precious water resources, and open public spaces, while cultivating economic development, healthy living practices, and educational opportunities.

Our thriving space encompasses family and commercial farming plots, inspiring educational programs, and rewarding volunteer opportunities.
