ALAMOSA, Colo. — Alamosa will take to the skies on Saturday, September 5, with a spectacular “Stories in the Sky” drone show at the Parks & Recreation soccer fields.

The community is invited to enjoy an evening of ice cream, live DJ music and an unforgettable show under the stars. Ice cream and music begin at 8 p.m., with the drone show starting at 9:15 p.m.

The first 100 attendees will receive free ice cream. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and enjoy the show from the soccer fields.

“Stories in the Sky” is part of the America 250 – Colorado 150 Commission’s statewide celebration, bringing nearly 150 community drone shows to Colorado skies from September 2025 through December 2026. The series celebrates Colorado’s history, communities and future through spectacular displays in the sky. The statewide series is sponsored by Chevron, Tallgrass, and UCHealth, and the Colorado Lottery.
