This Weekend

Each month, the Narrow Gauge Book Cooperative hosts the Spadefoot Story Slam community, sharing stories based on a theme, selected at the previous month’s Slam. While inspired by the Moth Story Hour, our monthly meetings are not a contest, but instead are a way to come together and practice sharing, and deep listening.

The theme for July is Cohabitation. This inspiration from the Moth Story Hour Card deck is a great place to start with ideas: “Prepare a story about living with someone or something. Your difficult college roommate or the raccoons in your backyard. A very particular neighbor or your unique family. Tell us about how you can’t live with them, but you can’t live without them! T
