Manga Cafe Night

The Narrow Gauge Book Cooperative is pleased to host Brave Spaces for a Manga Cafe Night!
This event is inspired by the Manga Cafes in Japan, where people can come and access a library of Manga and enjoy the internet, drinks, and snacks. We invite you to join us for themed snacks and beverages, and to bring a solo activity like drawing, coloring, or crafting, or bring a favorite book (manga or not!) or just yourself! We’ll have a selection of books you can read while you’re here!
Brave Spaces is a partnership program between SLVAHEC and SLV Pride. It is a program for ages 11-high school graduation to cultivate community and friendship in an environment where they get to be their authentic selves. The program hopes to prevent suicide in the youth of our community. They host free monthly events that participating teens request. The events take place across the valley, with a different location and themed event each month. As time goes on and participation grows, they hope to expand the program.
Please contact Becca at [email protected] for more information.
The Manga Cafe is an all-ages event, and we look forward to seeing you!
