The Narrow Gauge Book Cooperative is pleased to announce Julie Rodriguez as their featured artist for October. Julie’s work will go up on October 1st, and she will have a reception on October 3rd from 4pm-6pm at Narrow Gauge to start the month!
About the artist:

Julie Rodriguez is an artist that works in oil, acrylic, charcoal, and mixed media, as well as digital art, living in the San Luis Valley in Colorado.
Born in Pueblo, Colorado, she moved with her family to San Jose, California, when her father relocated the family during her childhood. For much of her life, she focused on raising a family and working in administration, purchasing, project management, and ERP systems rather than pursuing art.

Later in life Julie feels very blessed to have found painting and drawing as an avenue of creative expression. Prior to her current artwork, she spent time doing crafting, millinery, and catering. Having only doodled over the years, the pandemic hit, so she gave herself permission to pursue art. During that time, she joined an online school called Ode 2 Art Academy. Little did she know how much this would change her life
