Rio Grande Scenic Railroad
The Rio Grande Scenic Railroad offers daily roundtrip and one-way fares by Steam Engine over the historic La Veta Pass Route between Alamosa and La Veta, Colorado. Ride in standard coach or newly restored Dome Cars. On weekends ride out of La Veta to Alamosa or a stop at the Great Sand Dunes National Park.
A connector service runs daily roundtrip service in a Parlor Car from Alamosa to Osier, Colorado in conjunction with the Cumbres & Toltec Railroad. Tickets for both trains can conveniently be purchased together online . Additionally, daily roundtrip service is available from Alamosa to Monte Vista on a mixed train which combines freight and passengers, reminiscent of small town trains of the past.
