Welcome Fireball Run!

Some things happen only once.  Those moments are meant to be treasured and cherished.  Alamosa is both excited and honored to be hosting such an extraordinary event.  Called The Most Epic Adventurally in America, "epic" only begins to describe it.     

Fireball Run is an 8 day, 14 city, 2500 mile life-sized trivia game and America is the game board.  To navigate the route, teams solve clues based on history, science, nature, theology, pop culture, and virtually anything in relation to their geographical location. Once found, they must accomplish missions in  order to score; all while aiding in the recovery of America's missing children. 

40 teams literally go head-to-head as they use more brain power than horse power to win 2013's Fireball Run: All Stars and Movie Cars, every bit filmed as part of the Fireball Run TV Series.

Notable participants in 2013 include Astronaut Jon McBride; Lamborghini legend Valentino Balboni; Ray McClelland host of the Speed Channel show Car Warriors; and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame President, Terry Stewart. The vehicles the participants will be driving include 1966 BatMobile, Back to the Future Time Car, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, and Ferrari.
 
Alamosa rolls out the red carpet for the Fireball Run on Sunday, September 22.  Beginning the event in Longmont, Alamosa will be the second stop on the route, before completing the adventure on September 28 in Riverside, CA.  Join the Alamosa community in welcoming these celebrity teams and check out the amazing cars, downtown Alamosa at the intersection of Main St and San Juan Avenue.
